2009 Queensland State Titles

Congratulations once again to Robert Huckfeldt and Bob Fletcher on winning the 2009 Queensland titles at Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club during the weekend of October 3-4. Jackpot was once again dominant winning all 5 races with Ally-Oop sailed by Colin Hinwood from Big River Sailing Club in Northern NSW second and Eric Partland from Sydney sailing Uncle Roy third.

The handicap series was won by Ian Robertson sailing Scuttlebut from Ross Mapleston in Time and Bruce Wales in Plan B.
2009 State Titles
It is time once again to start planning for our State Titles in October. A Notice of Race has been published on this website so organise yourself and put the date of October 3 & 4 in your diary.
We look forward each year to our regular visits from the New South Wales competitors.


Ally-Oop being sailed on the Lake in the 2008-9 Nationals by Bucky Smith. Bucky has since gone on to become a winning crew member in the Etchell World Championships in Melbourne in March 2009. 

Bucky is keen to get back into Hartley competition as he believes the close racing assists him in honing his skills for Etchell events.
